50 tracked vendors were never named by any of ten AI models
Of 551 vendors tracked across 33 categories, 50 did not appear in any of 1,650 answers. The list includes Zed, Kiro, Vapi, Sentry, Statsig, Plausible and Resend's newsletter product.

AI coding tools according to AI: Cursor and Claude Code tie, CodeRabbit owns review
Ten models were asked which AI coding agents and code review tools to use. Cursor and Claude Code were both named in 98% of agent answers; OpenAI's models alone favoured GitHub Copilot.

AI media tools according to AI: ElevenLabs, HeyGen and Veo are near-unanimous, image generation is split
Ten models were asked which AI video, image, voice, avatar, music and clipping tools to use. ElevenLabs and HeyGen were named in every answer and first in 94% and 92%. Image generation has no leader.

Across ten current models, the four providers named the same most-frequent vendor in 24 categories. Where they split, it is usually one provider's one model.

Build without a team according to AI: Lovable, Zapier, Wix and Lindy
Ten models were asked which AI app builders, automation platforms, website builders and agent builders a non-technical founder should use. Lovable was named first in 80% of app-builder answers; v0 was named in 90% and first in none.

The creator economy according to AI: Substack, Circle, Kajabi, Linktree and Podia
Ten AI models were asked which tools creators should use for newsletters, communities, courses, link-in-bio and monetization. Whop was named in 52% of community answers and picked first in none.

Named in most answers, recommended first in none: the gap between mention and recommendation
Twenty vendors were named in at least 70% of AI answers in their category and were named first in 2% or fewer. Being on the list differs from being the pick.

Ten models were asked which payroll, CRM, billing, auth, database, hosting, email, outbound, analytics and meeting-notes tools a startup should use. Ten categories, ten leaders, and Amplitude leads analytics on mentions while PostHog leads on recommendation.

Vendors that are their own top source: who the models cite from the vendor's own site
In 7 of 33 categories a vendor's own website was the most cited source. In most of those the vendor is a challenger, not the leader.

Where Reddit decides the answer: the categories AI models source from threads
Reddit drew 1,058 citations, 3.6% of all, and was the top source in AI video generation and app hosting. Twelve categories did not cite it at all.

YouTube is the most cited source when AI models recommend software
Across 33 categories, 10 models and 29,119 citations, YouTube was the top source in 16 categories. Reddit was second. G2 was cited 45 times, Capterra never.
