What n8n is
n8n is a platform for technical teams building AI agents and automating workflows. It has a free community version and a paid enterprise licence. Teams can use it in the cloud or deploy it in their own private network with Docker or Kubernetes.
Workflows can start from app events, schedules, chat messages, event streams, webhooks or other workflows. n8n includes more than 500 pre-configured integrations, and users can add a missing integration with a pasted curl command. Self-hosted users can add JavaScript or Python code nodes and npm packages. An agent can run inside a workflow or independently, using a selected model and defined access limits.
