Braintree provides recurring billing for merchants that charge customers monthly for a service or product. It is designed for businesses billing customers on a recurring basis.
Merchants create plans with a billing-cycle length, billing date, default cost and expiration cycles. They store customers and payment methods in the Vault, then link a customer’s preferred payment method to a plan to create a subscription. Subscriptions can be managed through the Control Panel or API, including retries, refunds and cancellations.
