Lovable vs Replit (2026): What ChatGPT, Claude & Gemini Say

Lovable is named in 50 of 50 AI answers and first in 40. Replit is named in 46 and first in 2. The model-by-model split, pricing models and when each fits.

Lovable is named more often. It appears in 50 of 50 recorded AI answers and is named first in 40. Replit appears in 46 of 50 and is named first in 2. On presence the two are close. On order they are far apart.

These counts come from 10 AI models answering five fixed questions about AI app builders. They measure what the answers name, not which product is better.

TL;DR

How often do AI models recommend Lovable and Replit?

Lovable leads on every measured number. The widest gap is in first place: 40 of 50 against 2 of 50.

Product Named Share Named first First share Avg position Category rank
Lovable 50/50 Lovable 100% 40/50 Lovable 80% 1.32 1st of 15
Bolt (context) 48/50 Bolt 96% 4/50 Bolt 8% 2.5 2nd of 15
Replit 46/50 Replit 92% 2/50 Replit 4% 3.67 3rd of 15

Lovable is the category leader, so no separate reference row is needed. Bolt sits between the two, which puts Replit third of the 15 products the models named.

The gap between being named and being named first tells the story. Replit’s gap is 88 points. Only v0, at 90 points, has a wider one. Lovable’s is 20 points. In practice, Replit turns up as a listed option in nearly every answer, and Lovable turns up as the opening pick in most of them.

Which models prefer Lovable, and which prefer Replit?

None of the 10 models leans toward Replit on the count. Every model named Lovable in all 5 of its answers, and Lovable is the top-named product for each of them.

Model Family Lovable Replit
GPT-5.6 Sol OpenAI 5/5 5/5
ChatGPT (GPT-5.6 Terra) OpenAI 5/5 5/5
GPT-5.6 Luna OpenAI 5/5 5/5
Claude Opus 5 Anthropic 5/5 5/5
Claude (Claude Sonnet 5) Anthropic 5/5 5/5
Claude Fable 5 Anthropic 5/5 4/5
Gemini (Gemini 3.6 Flash) Google 5/5 5/5
Gemini 3.5 Flash Google 5/5 4/5
Perplexity (Sonar Pro) Perplexity 5/5 4/5
Sonar Reasoning Pro Perplexity 5/5 4/5

The OpenAI models are where Replit holds level on presence. All three named it in every answer, so the OpenAI family reached Replit 100%, the same as Lovable. Anthropic follows at Replit 93.3% and Google at Replit 90%.

The sharpest disagreement is between OpenAI and Perplexity. Both Perplexity models dropped Replit from one answer, leaving that family at Replit 80%. The Perplexity pair also names Bubble more than any other model does, in 4 of 5 answers each. Sonar Reasoning Pro’s answer on a SaaS MVP puts Blink first and names Lovable as the alternative.

First place is where the panel is lopsided. Outside Lovable’s 40, first place went to Bolt in 4 answers, Replit in 2, and Base44, Zite, Softr and Blink in 1 each. One of Replit’s two first places came from GPT-5.6 Sol, which answered “I’m building a web app from a prompt and I need an AI app builder” by opening with Replit Agent as its default.

What do the answers say about each?

The answers attach Lovable to non-technical founders and Replit to builders who want to work in the code. Four short quotes from the recorded answers show the pattern.

On Lovable, ChatGPT called it “best all-around for nontechnical founders shipping a real SaaS/web app”.

On Lovable, Claude Opus 5 called it “The most consistently recommended option for non-technical users.”

On Replit, the same ChatGPT answer called it “best for flexible full-stack building, coding, and agent-assisted iteration”.

On Replit, GPT-5.6 Sol wrote that “Replit currently offers one of the most complete all-in-one workflows” for turning a prompt into a deployable web app.

Sonar Reasoning Pro draws the same line. It sends most people to Lovable first and points more technical builders to Cursor or Replit for hands-on development.

How do Lovable and Replit differ?

They differ on how usage is billed, on who the guides say each is for, and on what each builds. The panel’s vendor records hold no pricing for either product, so everything in this section comes from the captured pages.

Pricing model. Lovable uses a credit-based system, with credits deducted each time the app is built or modified. Lovable Cloud and AI usage are billed separately, based on usage. Replit’s monthly plan includes usage credits that cover Agent prompts, deployments, databases and storage. Once those credits run out, Replit moves to pay-as-you-go pricing. Both have a free plan. Both captured third-party guides list a lower paid starting price for Replit than for Lovable.

Who each is for. Zite’s guide names solo founders, designers and small teams that need a shareable demo as Lovable’s fit. It names developers and semi-technical builders who want full control over the codebase as Replit’s fit. Bubble’s guide calls Lovable best for design-forward prototypes and landing pages. It calls Replit best for experienced developers who want an AI co-pilot.

What each builds. Lovable stays web-only, according to Bubble’s comparison. Replit can generate React Native mobile apps through Expo. Every Lovable project pushes to a GitHub repository once that is configured. Replit gives full access to the code it generates. Replit provisions a managed Postgres database automatically with every project. Lovable is SOC 2 Type II compliant. So is Replit.

Where each one leads. Lovable leads on every panel number: presence, first place, average position and model spread. Replit holds no measured lead over Lovable. Its distinct ground sits in the captured pages, which credit it with mobile apps and direct code access.

When should you pick Lovable?

Pick Lovable if you are building a web app without a developer and want the product AI answers put first.

When should you pick Replit?

Pick Replit if you want web and mobile from one tool, or you expect to work in the code yourself.

How this sits against the Lovable vs Replit guides

The ranking guides compare features, prices and build tests. This page counts what AI answers name. Four ranking pages were captured, and three are written by a company with a product in this category.

Zite, “Lovable vs Replit vs Zite”. It was written by David Wilson and reviewed by Dominic Whyte on Zite’s own blog. Its verdict calls Zite the strongest choice for non-technical teams building business software. Zite is tracked in this panel too. It was named in 8 of 50 answers (Zite 16%). The recorded answers cited zite.com 63 times, second among vendor-owned hosts only to lovable.dev at 69.

Bubble, “Lovable vs. Replit vs. Bubble”. It is published on Bubble’s blog under the Bubble byline. It tells buyers building a real business to choose Bubble. Bubble was named in 16 of 50 answers here (Bubble 32%).

Replit, “Replit vs Lovable”. This is Replit’s own comparison page. It headlines Replit as “the most secure platform for building production-ready apps”. The recorded answers cited replit.com 11 times.

Level Up Coding, “Lovable vs Replit”. An independent post by Lo Zarantonello built the same word search app in both tools. In that test, neither tool produced a working prototype. The author judged Lovable one step ahead. The rest of the post sits behind Medium’s member wall and was not captured.

A Reddit thread that ranks for this query could not be captured and is not described here.

One model spotted the same pattern in its own research. Claude Opus 5 warned that “nearly every source below is published by a company that sells one of these tools, and each one happens to rank its own product first.” That is the gap this page fills. It does not rate the tools. It reports which of the two the models name, and in what order.

How the sample was built

The panel is 10 models x 5 fixed prompts = 50 recorded answers, from the 2026-09 edition. Every model ran with web search on. These are the five questions, verbatim:

  1. What is the best AI app builder for building a web app from a prompt? Name specific products.
  2. Which AI app builder would you recommend to building a web app from a prompt in 2026?
  3. Compare the top AI app builder options right now.
  4. I’m building a web app from a prompt and I need an AI app builder. What should I use and why?
  5. Best AI app builder for building a web app from a prompt to vibe code a SaaS MVP?

OpenAI supplied 15 answers from GPT-5.6 Sol, ChatGPT (GPT-5.6 Terra) and GPT-5.6 Luna. Anthropic supplied 15 from Claude Opus 5, Claude (Claude Sonnet 5) and Claude Fable 5. Google supplied 10 from Gemini (Gemini 3.6 Flash) and Gemini 3.5 Flash. Perplexity supplied 10 from Perplexity (Sonar Pro) and Sonar Reasoning Pro. The panel tracked 17 products and 15 were named. The full record of every answer and the per-model split is on the AI app builders index, and the counting rules are on the method page.

What these counts cannot tell you

The counts say how often AI answers name each product and where. They say nothing about product quality, reliability, support, pricing fairness or fit with a particular stack. Being named is also not the same as being recommended, because an answer can list a product only to warn against it.

Each model answered each question once, so this is one dated snapshot. Products are counted by name strings, and the answers came through each model’s API, which can differ from its consumer chat app. The prompts are in English.

One limit bears directly on this pair. All five questions ask about building a web app. None asks about mobile apps, which is where the captured guides place Replit’s distinct ground. A panel that asked about mobile could produce different counts.

Frequently asked questions

Is there anything better than Replit?

The panel cannot say what is better, only what is named more. Two products were named more often than Replit in these 50 answers: Lovable in 50 and Bolt in 48. Replit came third, at 46.

Is there anything better than Lovable?

Not on this panel’s counts. No product was named more often than Lovable, which appeared in all 50 answers and came first in 40. That measures how often AI answers name it, not how good it is.

Which is better, Emergent or Lovable or Replit?

On naming, Lovable and Replit are far ahead of Emergent. Emergent was named in 6 of 50 answers (Emergent 12%) and never first. Claude Opus 5 named it most often, in 3 of its 5 answers. The panel does not rate any of the three on quality.

Is Lovable the best AI website builder?

This page does not answer that. Its five questions ask about AI app builders for web apps, and the panel measures website builders as a separate category. In these app-builder answers, Lovable was the top-named product for all 10 models.

Do Lovable and Replit have free plans?

Yes. Bubble’s comparison says both have a free plan or tier. Paid plans differ in how usage is billed, as set out in the pricing section above.

Can a Lovable project move to Replit?

Replit says it can import one. Its comparison page links to an import for Lovable apps. Zite’s guide also lists Lovable among the sources Replit imports from. The panel does not measure how well a move works.
