Lovable is the AI app builder the models name most. It appears in all 50 recorded answers, comes first in 40 and ranks first of the 15 builders named. The alternatives named beside it are Bolt (48 of 50 answers), Replit (46), v0 (45), Cursor (21), Base44 (19) and Bubble (16). The counts come from ten AI models answering five fixed buyer questions in the September 2026 edition.

Lovable ranks first of the 15 app builders the panel recorded, and every model agrees on it.
Measured: named 50 of 50 (Lovable 100%), first 40 of 50 (Lovable 80%), average position 1.32. Category rank 1 of 15 named, 17 tracked.
Each of the ten models named Lovable in all five of its answers. Each model’s own leader is Lovable. Its gap between being named and being named first is 20 points, smaller than the gap for any alternative below. When a model mentions Lovable, it usually mentions it first. Bolt took four of the other first places and Replit took two. Base44, Zite, Softr and Blink took one each.
The models name Lovable for one job: turning a plain-English prompt into a full-stack web app for a founder who does not code. ChatGPT calls it “best all-around for nontechnical founders shipping a real SaaS/web app”. The Claude and Gemini answers give the same reasons in their own words: SaaS MVPs, a Supabase backend for auth and data, and GitHub sync. Lovable’s own site also feeds the answers. lovable.dev is cited 69 times across the recorded answers, more than any other vendor-owned host.

Pick Bolt over Lovable if you want the same prompt-to-app loop with a full development environment and the code open in your browser.
Measured: named 48 of 50 (Bolt 96%), first 4 of 50 (Bolt 8%), average position 2.5. Category rank 2.
Bolt is the second name in almost every answer. Nine models named it in all five answers, and Sonar Reasoning Pro named it in three. It led four answers, more than any other alternative. Its average position of 2.5 puts it directly behind Lovable in a typical list. ChatGPT’s comparison answer files Bolt.new under quick visual prototypes and in-browser experiments. The Zite guide describes Bolt running a full Node.js environment in the browser through WebContainers. The same guide says Bolt builds with Next.js, Svelte, Vue, Remix or Astro. Cost control is the recurring caveat. The Zite guide reports that it is hard to tell how many tokens a request will consume.

Measured: named 46 of 50 (Replit 92%), first 2 of 50 (Replit 4%), average position 3.67. Category rank 3.
Replit is named almost everywhere and chosen first rarely. Every model named it in at least four of five answers. It came first twice. One of those answers came from GPT-5.6 Sol, which opened with Replit Agent as its default and wrote that “Replit currently offers one of the most complete all-in-one workflows”. Its average position trails v0 even though Replit is named more often. The models keep it on the shortlist without putting it at the top.
In the Zite guide’s test, Replit Agent handled code generation, database setup, authentication and deployment for a simple CRM app. The Zite guide says Replit supports multiplayer editing, so you can collaborate with a colleague in real time and edit the same files. The Zite guide warns that Replit credits deplete faster than you’d expect with heavy Agent use.

Measured: named 45 of 50 (v0 90%), first 0 of 50 (v0 0%), average position 3.47. Category rank 4.
v0 has the widest named-versus-first gap in the category, at 90 points. Every model includes it and no model leads with it. When it does appear, it sits early: its average position of 3.47 is ahead of Replit’s. The models frame it as a front-end tool. ChatGPT describes v0 as “best for developers and teams already using React/Next.js/Vercel”. The Zite guide says v0 generates React components with Tailwind CSS from text prompts or image uploads. The same guide rates it a weaker fit for apps with complex backends. Perplexity named v0 in three of five answers, the lowest count from any model.

Cursor answers a different request from the builders above it. The Zite guide says Cursor does not build apps from prompts. It describes an AI-native code editor that reads the whole codebase. The models split on it by family. Claude named Cursor in four of five answers. ChatGPT named it in none. Across families that reads as Cursor 60% in Anthropic answers and Cursor 33.3% in OpenAI answers. Sonar Reasoning Pro offers Cursor to readers who want more hands-on development. Its average position of 5.86 is the latest among these alternatives. In practice the models add it near the end of a list, as the route for someone who already codes.

Base44 has the widest model spread among Lovable’s alternatives. Gemini 3.5 Flash named it five times out of five. GPT-5.6 Sol, ChatGPT and Perplexity never named it. Across the two Google models the count reads Base44 80%. Claude Fable 5 named it in four of five answers and put Lovable first “with Bolt.new, Replit, and Base44 as strong alternatives”. Claude groups Base44 with Lovable, Bolt.new, Replit and v0 as builders that produce web apps only. When Base44 appears, it sits early. Its average position of 4.26 is ahead of Cursor and Bubble. Two ranking results feature it as well. The banani.co guide lists Base44 among the best Lovable alternatives, and a YouTube test of Lovable alternatives features it.

Bubble is the alternative the Perplexity models reach for. Perplexity and Sonar Reasoning Pro each named it in four of five answers, which reads Bubble 80% across that family. GPT-5.6 Sol, ChatGPT and Gemini 3.5 Flash never named it. Sonar Reasoning Pro groups Bubble with the no-code business app tools and apart from the AI-assisted developer platforms.
The Zite guide describes Bubble as a visual programming platform for building fully functional web and mobile applications without code. The Google models lean to Base44. Gemini 3.5 Flash names it in every answer, and the pair together reads Base44 80%.

How the sample was built
10 models x 5 fixed prompts = 50 recorded answers. Each model answered each question once, in the September 2026 edition. The five questions, verbatim:

The ten models come from four families. OpenAI supplies GPT-5.6 Sol, ChatGPT (GPT-5.6 Terra) and GPT-5.6 Luna, for 15 answers. Anthropic supplies Claude Opus 5, Claude (Claude Sonnet 5) and Claude Fable 5, for 15 answers. Google supplies Gemini (Gemini 3.6 Flash) and Gemini 3.5 Flash, for 10 answers. Perplexity supplies Perplexity (Sonar Pro) and Sonar Reasoning Pro, for 10 answers. The panel tracks 17 app builders. The answers named 15 of them. Rocket and Create were never named. The method sets out how names are matched and counted.
How this sits against the Lovable alternatives guides
The ranking guides for “Lovable alternatives” are written by companies that sell a competing builder. Each ranks products for purchase. Memetik counts the names AI answers produce.
Zite (ranked second in Google Australia). The guide is dated February 22, 2026 and tests ten Lovable alternatives. It places Zite first in its list. Its closing section answers its own question, “Is Zite the best Lovable alternative?”, with “Yes”. Its table covers v0, Cursor, Bolt.new, Bubble, Replit, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Webflow and Retool alongside Zite. On the panel, Zite is named in 8 of 50 answers (Zite 16%). Its blog carries more weight as a source. zite.com is cited 63 times in the recorded answers, second among vendor-owned hosts after lovable.dev.
Dyad (ranked fourth). The page is Dyad’s own head-to-head, dated September 24, 2026. It presents Dyad as a free, open-source app builder that runs on the user’s machine. It closes by suggesting a small prototype in each tool before choosing. Dyad sits outside the panel’s tracked list for this category.
WeWeb (ranked fifth). The page is WeWeb’s own comparison, updated July 8, 2026. It recommends Lovable for fast AI prototyping and WeWeb for visual editing and long-term control. WeWeb also sits outside the panel’s tracked list.
Two other results sit on page one. A Reddit thread titled “Robust alternatives to Lovable?” ranks third. Emergent’s own guide ranks tenth, and its listing shows v0 at fourth and Bubble at sixth. None of the three captured guides carries an affiliate disclosure. Each is published by a vendor in the category.
The models noticed the same pattern. Claude Opus 5 warned that “nearly every source below is published by a company that sells one of these tools, and each one happens to rank its own product first.” The panel adds what those guides cannot: how often each name appears across ten models, how often it comes first, and which models leave it out.
What these counts cannot tell you
- Product quality sits outside the measurement. A count records presence in an answer, with no test of uptime, support, pricing fairness or fit with a stack.
- Being named differs from being recommended. An answer can list a product only to warn against it.
- Each model answered each question once, so one answer per model-and-question pair stands behind every cell.
- The figures are one dated snapshot, the September 2026 edition.
- Names are matched as strings and aliases, so a product mentioned in an unusual form can be missed.
- API answers can differ from what the consumer chat apps show. Citation counts reflect only the citations the API responses returned, and coverage varies by model.
