## What WorkOS is

WorkOS provides building blocks for teams adding enterprise features to their applications. It is for product and engineering teams that need to support enterprise identity, administration and user management without building each capability separately.

It connects applications to SAML and OIDC identity providers through one integration. WorkOS also provides authentication types, user and organisation management, and policies. It can synchronise user lifecycle data from SCIM and HRIS providers. IT administrators use its hosted Admin Portal to configure WorkOS, while application teams use its APIs, SDKs, webhooks and normalised objects to integrate the features into their product.
