## What Comet is

Comet is an AI evaluation platform for developers and engineering teams building AI applications and agents. It supports teams shipping AI features that need to assess the behaviour of LLM calls, RAG pipelines and agentic systems.

Its Opik product logs, visualises and evaluates traces from those systems. Diagnostics identifies recurring trace issues, their root causes and suggested fixes. Test Suites and evaluations score sets of traces against defined goals. The platform also tracks and compares model training runs, with model versioning, dataset management and production monitoring.
